Arvizio Brings Augmented and Mixed Reality Shared Experiences to Revit Users

    By admin | Press Releases | 0 comment | 29 October, 2018 | 0

Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA – October 30, 2018 – Arvizio Inc., today announced the availability of a Revit Plug-In for their MR Studio™ mixed reality software platform. The MR Studio Revit plug-in provides an information-rich transfer of models between Revit and MR Studio Director while preserving geometry, textures and associated metadata for a compelling mixed reality sharing experience.

The efficient transfer of data allows rapid design iterations to be viewed by individual, or groups of, architects, engineers, customers and other stakeholders. MR Studio Director allows Revit models and LiDAR scans to be flexibly aligned and the combined results shared between local participants using Microsoft HoloLens. In addition, the platform enables virtual design reviews across distance allowing participants at multiple locations to conduct mixed reality meetings including 3D model sharing, model markup and design document sharing.

“Our goal has always been to enhance the design experience through mixed reality, enabling professionals to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage their projects,” said Jonathan Reeves, Arvizio’s CEO. “The seamless integration of Revit with our MR Studio platform allows firms to more accurately view their models, document key milestones and collaboratively communicate progress to project stakeholders.”

MR Studio shared mixed reality experience using Revit 3D model.

MR Studio is an enterprise level solution designed to provide multi-user and multi-site mixed reality experiences for working with 3D CAD/BIM models and real-world 3D LiDAR scans. MR Studio is available in two tiers: The Local Edition provides the ability to walk through designs at life size, align models with the real world for AR and MR digital twin scenarios and synchronize the view of multiple participants at a single location while the Enterprise Edition extends this set of capabilities to conduct virtual design reviews with multiple participants across locations.

The new MR Studio Revit Plug-In is available for customer trials.
